Kuala Lumpur, 16 July 2009 –. From June 15 to August 31, 2009, Shell Malaysia is giving away a total cash of RM129, 000 every week to lucky customers who spend a minimum of RM30 at participating Shell stations.
To enter the contest, customers who purchase a minimum of RM30 worth of Shell fuels, lubricants or any Shell Select items are encouraged to submit a completed contest form along with the original sales receipt as proof of purchase, into the contest drop boxes placed at participating Shell stations.

Each week, Shell will reward one lucky grand prize winner with RM30, 000. There will also be a first prize of RM3, 000 for three lucky winners and consolation prizes of RM300 for 300 winners.
Shell has already rewarded hundreds of customers nationwide since the contest started mid June. Encik Sa’ari bin Md Nooh, the first week’s grand prize winner of RM30,000 said, “I have been using Shell petrol since I started driving back in the 70s and did not expect my loyalty to be so generously rewarded!”

“I have been encouraging my friends and family to enter this contest as anyone and everyone has a good chance of winning”, he added. As an avid reader, Encik Sa’ari said that he plans to use the prize money to add to his collection of books at his home.
Ms Catherine Chua the grand prize winner from week two was equally ecstatic when informed of her win. “I was on the way back from work when I dropped by the Shell Subang Jaya station to fuel up. The pump attendant gave me two contest forms which I filled up without giving much thought. The win certainly left me in shocked!” said Catherine. “I plan to invest my win in the stock market and unit trusts and save the balance for a rainy day,” she added.

Catherine was also pleasantly surprised to receive a visit by the Shell Team at her office to celebrate the win with her bosses and colleagues. She was very appreciative and touched by the gesture. Many photographs were taken together with her colleagues to capture the memorable moment. Some of her colleagues joked that hopefully her luck will rub off on them so that they can win cash prizes from Shell too!

Customers can also triple their chances of winning by fuelling up with Shell V-Power Racing. For every RM30 fill-up with V-Power Racing, customers will be able to submit three entry forms. Winning customers who had paid using a Citibank credit card will have their prize money topped up by an additional 33 per cent!
